InactiveJust looking at the upcoming big events next weekend. Coastal Clash will have some great stuff with teams like Allatoona, Mountain View and Camden over there at the new venue for this year. Kyle Maynard Duals should offer some really solid matchups in the inter squad matches since it is a dual team event. Buford had some battle royal matches last season. Is there a clean list of teams attending it this year and what are the top kids and matchups to look out for? Is it being broadcast online for fans to watch?

InactiveHere’s the teams listed on Track as of right now but this is not always 100% accurate and does not take into account for teams dropping out at last minute obviously. At least gives us a clue to who could be there for now. Buford coaches probably have the most current list.

InactiveShould be a great event: Looks like at least 8 teams that placed at least top 5 in their state tournament in Georiga alone.

InactiveBased on the team entries 160 should be fun with Cochran, Eller, Kane, Coleman. I believe Social Circle has a tough kid at 160.
113 should be a great finals between McCrary and Ashton
Also looking forward to seeing the Cass hwt Wrestle the Archer hwt

InactiveSnapOn, 160 jumps off the page for sure. I looked at Eller’s stats in Track after the results from Social Circle last weekend were posted by AOWA on the forum. He got a big MD over Peppers from SC earlier this year, pinned the South Paulding State placer and then pinned Coleman last weekend. Would be awesome to see him get Kane and Cochran this weekend. I’m going to try and get up there for Saturday when I’m off work. Several brackets are loaded.

Bahahahahaha.

InactiveWrestling starved part of the state for way too long, Jason. There’s some good teams a little further east over near Columbia that have put out some good wrestlers inside South Carolina and if you go down towards the southeast of course they have had some good kids as well who are competing at D1 and D2 now. It’s just a lot of fun to see a good kid from over this way that can do some big things for a change. I was following his results and talking about him as a freshman on SE Wrestling last year after he won the Coastal Clash. Hate that site is on hiatus. They had some good weekly roundup info with results posted regularly. I hope he gets that back up and running next season.

InactiveCochran #4 seed???What

InactiveShocked that Cochran lost in the quarterfinals of 160’s but DeJames is no slouch. The 3 and the 4 seed lost in that round actually as Peppers from the team point leading SC Redskins also fell to Coleman. Sets up two potentially solid semis tomorrow.

InactiveThe team debate will always go on. Congratulations to Social Circle. Engstrom missing weight left some points on the board for sure. Buford wins if they aren’t missing key guys in the lineup. Valdosta and North Hall are very solid.
Deepest bracket? 113? 160?
Best matchups? Stonecheck/Smith; Eller/Kane; Roberts/Gianfala, Richards/Choloh
Dominant wrestlers? McCrary (113), Gollhofer (120), Eller (160), Cross (195), Breeden (220)

Inactive160 toughest weight hands down. Golhoffer dominated in the finals as did Eller but the most dominant to me was the Johnson kid. Little from North is tough, I believe third in State a year ago and Johnson teched him… in the first period!
